Zeal

Zeal is fervent, passionate enthusiasm or eager desire in pursuit of a goal, cause, or ideal. It represents intense devotion and energy, often used in religious or political contexts to describe dedicated, sometimes fanatical, effort. The term originates from the Greek zêlos (jealousy, zeal), related to intense feeling.

There seems to be a lot of political zeal these days, no matter which way you lean.

I prefer to think I have the following zeal:

Should not a like zeal fire our hearts with a determination to tell the story of redeeming love, of Christ and Him crucified?
