My Thoughts

This is the first book I have read by Tara Randel. I found it captivating from the beginning, since I am a real sucker for dogs. I loved the scenes with Gus.

One of my dreams as a child was to become a veterinarian, so that was my second draw to this story. And having spent many years as a single parent, I am always on the lookout for stories of the same.

If you enjoy small town romance, with stories of lives that are a bit messy (because that is how real life is!), I suggest you add The Surprise Next Door to your TBR list.
