Ziefert, Harriet

#AtoZChallenge 2024 letter Z

Harriet Ziefert (born July 7, 1941) is an American children's author. Ziefert was born in North Bergen, New Jersey. She has written several hundred children's books.

One of our favorite books is A New Coat for Anna. It's a story based on a real life event, and is set in Europe in the aftermath of World War II. It takes you through the process of how a mother was able to get a new coat for her young daughter, when she had no money with which to purchase one. It shows the mother's persistence and determination.
Ziefert has written many other books. You can find a list on Goodreads. I also found a list of articles she wrote for The Berkshire Edge. Have you read any books by Ziefert?

Thus ends our journey through the alphabet. Thank you for joining me; I hope you'll stop by often! I'll continue sharing book reviews, and I hope I can become consistent with my Wordless Wednesday posts again.

  1. Congratulations on finishing the challenge. I got behind on my visiting/commenting on blogs the last week because of life so I'm trying to finish that up. I've enjoyed your posts.

    1. I am so glad you have stopped by as often as you were able. I've enjoyed your posts, as well. I hope you'll continue stopping by, because I post a book review once or twice a week.
