(The) Desire of Ages
One of my most favorite books ever is The Desire of Ages, by E.G.White.
It is a beautifully written account of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ while He was on this earth.

If you want a comprehensive read of Jesus' life and ministry on earth, I highly recommend The Desire of Ages! It is sure to impact your life in some way.

ReplyDeleteFrom the Table of Contents you posted, it looks like the book is a comprehensive biography of Jesus. It may be the only such work since Albert Schweitzer wrote The Quest of the Historical Jesus in 1893. Usually, we get only smatterings of this and that -- and too often colored by the bias of the author -- and so infrequently do we get a look at a complete picture of His life. While I don't hold with organized religion -- too much of man in it -- I do look for sources of a basis for ethics in my own personal spiritual journey. I'll look for this on my library trip planned for tomorrow.
