Night of the Moonjellies

One of my most favorite picture books is Night of the Moonjellies, by Mark Shasha.

It's such a sweet story, full of family love, and a family business. A sweet memory is shared between the author and his grandmother. The illustrations are enchanting.

When we read this book together, when my kids were little, we learned about moonjellies, running a small business, and even making menus.

It's one I shared with the little boy I used to babysit, and his sister. I haven't shared it yet with my grandson; hopefully I can, someday soon.

It isn't as well known as some of the other books we've read. Have you seen it, or read it? See if your library has a copy! It's a precious story!

  1. At first glance. the title suggested sci fi horror to me, not warm and fuzzy family stuff. Maybe I need to get out more. ha ha
