P is for Penguins {Blogging Through the Alphabet}
Okay, okay! I've said it several times already! But...penguins are one of my most favorite birds! One of my dreams, bucket list items if you will, is to be able to go some place where I can see penguins in the wild. Big dream; impossible dream.
I love these black and white tuxedoed birds! Oh, yeah, they also have yellow, and sometimes orange/red, on them.
Penguins can be found on every continent in the Southern Hemisphere from the tropical Galapagos Islands (the Galapagos penguin) located near South America to Antarctica (the emperor penguin).

Say, did you see the Penguin DisneyNature movie in theaters beginning Earth Day, 2019? I didn't, sadly. If you go to Penguins on DisneyNature, you will see there are educational materials, to go along with the movie.

Did You Know?: Larger penguin species are found in colder climates where their
large body mass enables them to cope with the conditions, while smaller
penguins inhabit warmer climes.

Penguins are really cool. I always loved walking by the Humboldt Penguin exhibit at the zoo. Listening to them 'talk' to each other was great.
